We Honor Veterans

NOVEMBER 10TH 2023

On this Veteran's Day, we thank all veterans and active-duty military for their sacrifices and their bravery.  The freedom we enjoy as Americans results from their service and selflessness.  We also thank the family, loved ones, employers and friends who make it possible for soldiers, sailors and airmen to report for duty and carry out their critical responsibilities.

A special thanks to the Jewish War Veterans (JWV), an organization founded in 1896 by 63 Jewish veterans responding to anti-Semitic comments about the lack of Jewish service in the Civil War.  For more than 125 years, the JWV has been the "Jewish voice for veterans and the veteran’s voice for Jews."  Several JWV posts donated to JRNU, and these funds made a real difference in the lives of hundreds of Ukrainian Jews.

Today, let us all celebrate and honor the men and women who have bravely served, and continue to serve our country.  Thank you!

Together, we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
