Tragic Week in Ukraine

FEBRUARY 13TH 2026

This past week, at least 10 people, including five young children were killed in attacks.

A drone struck a family's home in the town of Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region, killing a man and three children, and injuring their pregnant mother. The strike completely destroyed the house, trapping the family beneath the rubble. The three children included twin boys aged two, and their one-year-old sister. The father was 34. The children’s mother was saved by rescue teams; she is suffering from serious injuries and hearing loss.

The tragedy occurred on the first night the family was in the house, having moved to the town to escape constant attacks.

At least two more children were killed in a separate drone attack in the Sumy region. In the Dnipro region, a man was killed and his wife wounded, and another couple and their 45-year-old son were killed. Sixteen people were injured from drone strikes on a hospital in Zaporizhzhia, a railway depot in Konotop, and other areas in Dnipro and Poltava.
