The Energy Crisis In Ukraine Continues, And So Does Our Help

NOVEMBER 12TH 2025

The people of Ukraine are again facing widespread power outages as a result of attacks on the country’s energy infrastructure. In addition, six people were killed and 12 people were injured by a strike on an apartment building in the city of Dnipro. Three other people died in Zaporizhzhia in a separate attack. In all, 25 locations across Ukraine were impacted by the aerial assaults, including Kyiv, which were hit, leaving many areas without electricity and heating. The regions of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy continue to face outages, several days after the attack. As the country works to respond to the dangerous situation, made even more critical by the cold winter weather, people are experiencing power cuts for 8-16 hours per day, including electricity, heat and water supplies.

Our work continues throughout Ukraine, with community centers and schools being powered by industrial generators we installed in the early days of the crises. We are taking particular care to check on the elderly and infirm, and mothers with young children. The clothing, blankets, batteries, thermoses, and bottled water fulfill critical needs for people whose suffering seems to know no bounds.

We are grateful to our staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to help others, and to our generous donors who make the work possible. Together we save lives and restore hope.
