This past weekend Ukraine again was under attack again, with more than 120 drones and 12 missiles striking areas of Odessa, Kyiv, and cities in the eastern portion of the country. Two people were killed in Odessa and a third person, a 24-year-old man, was injured by shrapnel. In Kyiv, eleven people were wounded, and in Kharkiv seven others were hurt. The attacks on an eastern city killed one person and injured 29 others, including two children; in other parts of the region bombs destroyed residential buildings and shops, killing four people and injuring nine others.
The past month has brought some of the most intense attacks of the past 4½ years. In addition to the tragedies and traumas that Ukrainians experience on a daily basis, the challenges of affording food, medicine, shelter, and other essentials are becoming more dire all the time. The requests for aid continue to increase, and we are determined not to leave anyone behind. We are distributing more food parcels, serving more meals, and providing more medical support than ever. We are grateful to our generous donors who make our work possible.
Together we save lives and restore hope.
