Each day in cities and towns across Ukraine, our staff and volunteers feed thousands of people in the various Jewish communities. Elderly residents join us at the soup kitchens, and families arrive at synagogues and community centers to receive food parcels.
At the same time, we are preparing for the upcoming holiday of Shavuot, when children will enjoy ice cream parties and seniors will gather to eat cheesecake. Fresh yogurt, cheeses, and other dairy products are loaded into refrigerator trucks that are criss-crossing the country, making stops in many cities and towns to deliver special treats to thousands of families. The holiday festivities offer a much needed respite from the daily stress and strain from the ongoing conflict, and preserving religious traditions infuses a sense of normalcy into chaotic times.
We are grateful for the hard work and dedication of our staff and volunteers as well as our generous donors who make it all possible. Together we save lives and restore hope.
