Just in time for Hanukkah, we are helping to launch a new board game to enhance connections and support for Jewish teens in Ukraine. The project is being promoted by EnerJew, the largest Jewish youth movement in Ukraine and other former Soviet Union countries, to encourage teen participation in Shabbat meals, a critical component of Jewish life. In addition to being fun, the game, Shabbat Vibe, encourages thoughtful discussion and meaningful connections through shared experiences.
Shabbat Vibe was carefully designed to resonate with youth. It offers an entertaining approach to promote Jewish identity and traditional observances during Shabbat meals. With its creative prompts and format, the game is entertaining and lively, making the Shabbat dinner atmosphere festive and meaningful. After more than 3½ years of relentless attacks, causing fear, anxiety, and despair, it is more important than ever to provide the children of Ukraine with opportunities for positive engagement and support, fostering stronger connections with their families, peers, and community.
The game was authored by Malky Pewzner, produced and distributed by Or Makor, and will be available for purchase online.
