Memorial Day 2025

MAY 26TH 2025

On this Memorial Day we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom in the United States of America. We also express gratitude for those who continue to serve and protect our Nation.

Tragically, in Ukraine the service and sacrifices continue, amidst renewed escalation in the crisis. At the same time, JRNU leaders and staff continue  preparing for the upcoming Shavuot holiday, determined to share happiness and joy in the midst of great suffering.

Over the past couple of days, Ukraine came under a massive attack. On Saturday, 367 drones and missiles targeted more than 30 cities and villages across Ukraine. At least 12 people were killed, including three children in the northern region of Zhytomyr; four people in the Kyiv region; four others in the western Khmelnytsky region; and one person was killed in Mykolaiv. In the 13 regions that were attacked, 60 people were injured and 80 residential buildings damaged.

The tragedies on Saturday came just one day following a drone attack that killed four people.

The bravery and resilience of the Ukrainian people is remarkable; we pray for an end to the suffering. We are working hard to lend aid and support to all those in need, and we are distributing special food packages for Shavuot along with basic necessities.

Together we save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
