Jewish Medical Center of Dnipro Hosts Women’s Health Day

NOVEMBER 4TH 2026

‍

The Jewish Medical Center (JMC) of Dnipro recently hosted a Women’s Health Day event, to raise awareness about breast diseases-- their prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment. The event was part of the “Rozhovten” annual public health campaign, spearheaded by Project Kesher Ukraine, an all-Ukrainian non-governmental Jewish women’s organization.

Thanks to Project Kesher and the JMC medical staff, 97 women received free examinations and consultations with qualified specialists, including oncologist-mammologists and an obstetrician-gynecologist. Four women were diagnosed with early-stage serious pathological changes. Thanks to the timely examinations, they are able to begin the necessary medical care, significantly increasing the likelihood of successful treatment.

Project Kesher and the Jewish Medical Center have been collaborating for years to provide hundreds of women with free examinations. In cases where pathological changes were detected, the women received excellent medical care and have now fully recovered:

“It is especially joyful for us that this year almost one hundred women took part in the campaign, and it is very important that thanks to the examinations, serious health problems were detected in time in four of them,” said Ella Goncharova, manager of Project Kesher. She continued, “It is especially touching to see those in whom pathological changes were previously detected, and today they come for examination entirely healthy. For Project Kesher it is fundamentally important that this campaign is conducted on a charitable basis and all women can undergo examination free of charge at one of the best clinics in Dnipro and Ukraine – the Jewish Medical Center. From the bottom of my heart and on behalf of all of Project Kesher, I sincerely thank the JMC medical center and its director, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Alexander Rodinsky, for many years of cooperation, and I am very proud that such unique campaigns can take place thanks to the attention and support of the united and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”

It is an honor to lend support to the Jewish Community of Dnipro. Together we save lives and restore hope.
