The recent devastating attacks on Kyiv and other parts of the country caused severe damage to food-production facilities and industrial sites in addition to the tragic casualties. As a result, supermarket shelves have been almost completely emptied of food and other necessities.
Through our extensive logistics network, built over several years, we are able to continue our New Year aid campaign, distributing food packages throughout the country, along with special High Holiday gift boxes. The food packages have become more critical than ever, as they contain a generous supply of essential food products, including poultry, fresh meat, dairy products, and canned goods; the gift boxes include honey, honey cakes from Israel, festive honey cookies, and more. They also include booklets that explain the holidays, as well as a Jewish calendar.
We are looking forward to welcoming thousands of families to celebrate the High Holidays in Ukraine, notwithstanding the ongoing daily challenges. The rabbis have their shofars ready!
