Helping Lidia and Yevhen and Feeding Thousands

AUGUST 5TH 2026

The situation in Ukraine poses grave risks for residents all across the country. The requests for aid, particularly food, continue at a high level, as people struggle to make ends meet. Our soup kitchens in Sumy, Uzhhorod, Zhytomyr, and many other cities provide critical support for elderly residents, and our medication distribution program ensures people receive the drugs they need to address chronic and acute conditions.

Recently, Lidia suffered a heart attack and stroke. Her modest pension was not enough to cover her costly medications and much needed rehabilitation. Fortunately, she reached out to Rabbi Shlomo Salamon in Kremenchuk, with whom we work closely; she now received the financial assistance she needs for life-saving medications and treatment.

Yevhen, despite his advanced age and poor vision, remains an active member of the Kyiv Jewish community. His frequent medical visits and prescription medications, necessitated by hypertension, heart and joint problems, are very expensive and far exceed his financial means. Working with local community leaders, we provide Yevhen with the financial support he needs to maintain his health and navigate the ongoing crisis.

It is an honor and privilege to help those in need. Together we save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
