Over the past few days, a wave of ballistic missile and drone strikes targeted Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odessa, and other regions, damaging more than 10 energy facilities, cutting power to over 550,000 households, and killing several people. And while winter doesn’t officially arrive until December, the autumn chill has settled it, along with freezing nights. Utility workers are racing to make repairs to the power grid in advance of the dangerously cold weather season.
Our leaders, staff, and volunteers are continuing to provide desperately needed humanitarian aid to thousands of people around the country. We recently purchased medications for individuals in Odessa, young and old, who could not afford their critical prescriptions.
And we also purchased new glasses for Kostya, enabling him to fully participate in his academic and life activities.
