Volodymyr, from Rivne, lost his leg due to complications from diabetes. With no family in the area, he has been entirely on his own, with just a modest pension to cover all his expenses. It has been an honor to provide assistance with costly medicine, food, rent, and heat. Additionally, we will help Volodymyr with the expensive prosthetic he needs, as well as physical therapy and other rehabilitation.
In Berdychiv, we are assisting Faina who was in dire financial straits after barely surviving the winter. An active participant in the local Jewish community, who often shares her signature pastries and brings joy to those around her, Faina spent all her savings on utility bills during the historically cold weather. As a result, she had no money to pay for vital medicines she takes daily for chronic illness. It is a privilege to help Faina with the medication and medical care she needs to remain healthy and active.
