We are pleased to report that Purim celebrations were held in Jewish communities throughout Ukraine, from Dnipro to Zhitomir, with holiday gatherings of all types. Thousands of children expressed joy and excitement as they opened gift boxes filled with snacks and treats. They shook their graggers with glee at the mention of the evil Haman, and they donned their best costumes to walk in parades and attend parties. It was an honor and privilege to bring Purim to Ukraine, overcoming many challenges associated with the ongoing crisis and the historically cold winter. We hope that next Purim the people of Ukraine will be living in peace. Together we save lives and restore hope.
