From the Dnipro River to the Carpathian Mountains, No One is Forgotten

MAY 21ST 2025

From the very old to the very young, the people of Ukraine have been suffering for more than three years, living under martial law with limited access to life's necessities. It is our honor and privilege to serve as their life line, ensuring they receive desperately needed help and support.

In Chernivtsi, Nikita and David needed intensive rehabilitation to improve their motor and cognitive skills, as well as their emotional state. JRNU helped the family pay for five months of treatment to restore motor and cognitive skills, enhance muscle tone; improve mental health; stimulate the nervous-muscular system; and build strength. Additionally, thanks to support from their local Jewish community, the boys received an exercise bike to support their continued recovery and rehabilitation. They are training hard every day, gaining strength and confidence.

In Mykolaiv, we serve hot and nutritious meals to retirees who are alone and hungry. We feed people in Vinnytsia as well and provide physical and emotional/spiritual support.

The extended power outages left residents of Mykolaiv in the cold and dark. We provided firewood and heating vouchers, and we also distributed lamps to bring light into the homes.

In Zhytomyr, Odessa and Mykolaiv, dental care was arranged for hundreds of children. Dentists and their staff provided routine exams, cleanings, and necessary treatment, in a warm and caring environment to kids who have endured so much.

All across Ukraine we are preparing for the holiday of Shavuot, commencing less than 10 days from now, with deliveries of ice cream and other delicious dairy treats. Refrigerated trucks filled goodies are headed towards hundreds of cities, towns and villages. Communities will hold festive events to commemorate the joyful holiday. The crisis continues and so does the dedication, commitment and hard work of our leaders, staff and volunteers. Together we save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
