Deadly Night in Kyiv

AUGUST 1ST 2025

Yesterday was one of the most tragic days in Ukraine since the crisis began nearly 3 1/2 years ago. Missile strikes in Kyiv killed 18 people and wounded more than 150 others. A 6 year-old boy died alongside his mother, and 16 children were injured, including a 5-month old girl--this was the highest number of children injured in a single attack on Kyiv since the war started. People were trapped under rubble at 27 different locations in the city. Residential buildings, a children’s hospital, and schools were targeted in the attacks, with explosions so powerful they blew off windows and doors of the structures; some people were hurled from their apartments.

Our staff and volunteers are rendering aid and lending support. Our thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Kyiv and all the people of Ukraine.

Together we save lives and restore hope.
