The “Mitzvah Agent” preschool camp operated by the Dnipro Jewish Community with support from Jewish Relief Network Ukraine, helps young children learn about Jewish traditions and develop a love for their people.
Each day at the “Mitzvah Agent” camp is dedicated to a different theme. Children learn about the Torah, Shabbat, tzedakah, and “Ahavat Yisrael” (loving fellow Jews), gradually accumulating their own “treasures” of good deeds and new knowledge.
Children participate in a wide range of fun and educational activities, including creative workshops, games, shows, baking, trips, and much more. Preparation for the main event of the Jewish week—Queen Shabbat—is a special focus.
“We truly want our children to associate Jewish tradition with joy, kindness, friendship, and happy memories from their earliest years,” says Adel Susorova, administrator of the Mitzvah Agent camp. She continued, “That’s why we strive to ensure that every day is filled with new discoveries, interesting activities, and fun. We wholeheartedly thank the Jewish Relief Network Ukraine for supporting our camp, as well as everyone who helps create this special atmosphere for the children. And, of course, this camp is part of the greater commitment to the Jewish future that drives our dear, united, and cohesive Jewish Community of Dnipro, under the leadership of Chief Rabbi Shmuel Kaminezki.”
