Dangerous Weekend in Kyiv

JULY 21ST 2025

This past weekend the people of Ukraine again endured relentless attacks with nationwide air raid warnings blaring continually throughout the country. At least two people were killed and 16 wounded in the past 24 hours. Kyiv was hit particularly hard, with substantial damage reported to a central subway station, commercial property, shops, houses and a kindergarten. Fires broke out in several locations contributing to the destruction. Many people took shelter in underground subway stations, desperate for safety in the midst of the unrelenting assault.

Our devoted community leaders, staff, and volunteers continue to provide aid to people around Ukraine, young and old. Rather than running away from the dangers and perils, they remain in place, saving lives and restoring hope.
