This summer we undertook an important new initiative to help the children of Ukraine. Beginning in the cities of Kamianske and Mykolaiv, children are receiving much needed dental care. Over the past couple of years, many families had to skip dentist visits, due to lack of resources and/or being displaced, leading to poor oral health for the children. Through our “Happy Smile” project, kids are receiving both preventive care and treatment for cavities and other dental needs.
The overwhelming success of the project in Kamianske and Mykolaiv further inspires us to undertake similar initiatives in other Ukrainian cities. As the ongoing crisis extends past the 21/2 year mark, the needs of the people continue to increase. Thanks to our generous donors we continue to provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of thousands of people across the country, including dental care for the children.
