Another Perilous Weekend In Ukraine, But Hanukkah Is Coming

DECEMBER 8TH 2025

It was another perilous weekend in Ukraine, with a massive attack on Kremenchuk that cut off water, electricity, and heat to city residents. Just 24 hours earlier, widespread air raids struck other parts of the country. A railway hub in the town of Fastiv, southwest of Kyiv was hit, destroying the main building and damaging trains. Energy facilities in eight different regions of Ukraine left many people in the cold and dark. Miraculously there were no reported deaths from the weekend attacks.

In the midst of these dangerous conditions caused by the ongoing crisis, our teams of staff and volunteers continue their tireless efforts to prepare for Hanukkah. Along with deliveries of food and other essential items, every household receives a menorah and candles, along with a beautiful booklet filled with stories and holiday traditions. It is more important than ever to show people that they are not alone and not forgotten. Our packages reach people in more than 250 cities, towns, and villages throughout Ukraine, shedding light and hope during the dark days.

We are grateful to all of our generous donors who continue to make our work possible; thousands of people count on us for their survival, and we count on you. What may seem like a modest donation on your part has an immense impact on those in need. Together we save lives and restore hope.

Together we Save Lives and Restore Hope!
